Kirk Whalum
Kirk Whalum's signature sound emerged from Memphis gospel roots and Houston's 1980s club scene, where jazz pianist Bob James discovered him. Moving to LA, he became a top session saxophonist for icons like Whitney Houston—his solo defines "I Will Always Love You". With 30+ solo projects, including chart-topper For You and the Gospel According to Jazz series, he blends genres seamlessly. A 12-time Grammy nominee, he won in 2011 for "It’s What I Do". Whalum holds a theology degree, hosts the Bible In Your Ear podcast, and champions education globally. Honored with stars on Memphis and Nashville Walks of Fame.
Jonathan Butler
Jonathan Butler, born in Cape Town, South Africa, rose to fame amidst apartheid. He released his first album at 12 and won the South African "Grammy" for Best New Artist. At 13, he became the first black artist on white South African radio, earning three gold records. He later moved to London, releasing an international gold album. Butler received Grammy nominations for "Lies" and "Going Home." His music remains iconic globally, with his latest album, Ubuntu, released in 2023.
