Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah
$57.00
Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah originally came from two very different regions of France and were not found there blended historically. In Australia however, it became a common practice to blend these two grapes together beginning around the mid-20th century and it has become a very successful wine there. These two very different grapes play well together to produce a unique wine.
We tried blending some of our 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon from the Huang Vineyard in Temecula Valley with some of our 2017 Estate Syrah and loved the result. We think you’ll also enjoy this great blend as much as we do; age it 5-8 years and enjoy its evolution or drink it now for its ripe fruit.
Aroma: A variety of black fruits like currant, berries and plums. A touch of toast from the new barrels used.
Palate: Medium-full bodied with berries and full tannins. Cocoa on the finish.
Pairing: Grilled meats, game, aged cheeses and cured meats.
